Iame Cadet - NOT RUNNING IN 2025
The IAME Gaxelle cadet in the all new Motorsport UK class for 2013 and beyond. It runs a 60cc two stroke engine and will be the official Motorsport UK Cadet championship class.
Drivers between 8 and 13 years of age.

Honda Cadet - NOT RUNNING IN 2025
This is a great entry level class for aspiring racing drivers. The class uses a long life, low cost Honda 4 stroke engine and runs at most ABkC clubs in the UK.
Drivers between 8 and 13 years of age.

103kg minimum weight limit.
4 stroke Honda engine with clutch.
Junior x30 - NOT RUNNING IN 2025
Minimax is the lowest powered class within the Rotax family using a very restricted version of the 125cc 2 stroke TAG engine. The engine is sealed and comes complete with a log book showing the service history which must be carried out by an authorised repair agent.
Drivers between 11 and 16 years of age.

Junior Rotax - NOT RUNNING IN 2025
Junior Rotax is one of the most powerful junior classes with a top speed of around 70mph. Like Minimax it uses a slightly less restricted version of the 125cc 2 stroke TAG engine. The engine is sealed and comes complete with a log book showing the service history which must be carried out by an authorised repair agent.
Drivers between 11 and 16 years of age.

Junior TKM - not running in 2025
This is a very popular traditional kart class using a BT82 piston port engine to a strict non-tuning regime. This junior class contains a restrictor between the carburettor and the engine to restrict the overall engine power.
Drivers between 11 and 16 years of age.

Minimum weight limit by restrictor.
Restricted 100cc 2 stroke BT82 engine.
Can be used as direct drive or with clutch.
TKM Extreme - not running in 2025
This very popular traditional kart class which has evolved over the years to keep pace with changing face of modern karting in the UK. This class supports both clutched and direct drive BT82 115cc 2 stroke engines.
Senior class available to drivers 16 aged years and over.
Red plates with white numbers.
115cc BT82 engine either direct drive or Tag engine with clutch.
Senior Rotax & 177 - Not running in 2025
This is the Senior class in the Rotax family with a very powerful 125cc 2 stroke TAG engine complete with adjustable power valve. The engine is designed for low maintenance with engine revs being restricted electronically. The engine is sealed and comes complete with a log book showing the service history which must be carried out by an authorised repair agent. The class also has a 177kg minimum weight to cater for all shapes and sizes of senior driver.
Drivers 16 years of age or over.

Formula KZ2
This is a very popular gearbox class and although a little more expensive than a direct drive they still can be very economical to run. The 125cc water cooled engines use a 6 speed sequential gearbox, gears are changed via a lever mounted next to the steering wheel. With 0-60 mph times at less than 4 seconds these karts are amazingly fast.
Drivers must be over 16 years of age.

180kg minimum weight limit.
125cc, 6 speed single cylinder engine.
Top speed of around 90mph on short circuits.
The NKF holds the S4 Championships.
formula superkart 250 mono
This is the most powerful short circuit kart class using 250cc single cylinder motocross 5 speed engines. The karts are often equipped with large full width nose cones and wings, especially when used in "long circuit" trim.
Drivers must be over 16 years of age.
White plates with black numbers.
195kg minimum weight limit.
250cc single cylinder engine.
Top speed of around 100mph on short circuits.
The NKF holds the S4 Championships.
